• Master’s or PhD degree in either Data Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Engineering fields.

• Ability to formulate a clear problem statement, develop a plan for tackling it, and clearly communicate findings verbally, visually, and in writing
• Demonstrable working experience in an analytics position, where the focus was on building and implementing machine learning models to solve business problems
• Experience accessing and analysing data using language/tools/databases such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
• Experience using Gradient Boosting Machines, Random Forests, Neural Networks or similar algorithms.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

• National Diploma in IT (BTech) – Advantageous
• Bachelor of Science (Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics) – Advantageous
• Microsoft Business Intelligence certifications will be an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in BI with over 1 years’ experience in implementing complete BI solutions within an enterprise data warehouse.

• South African  accredited Clinical Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
• Must be registered with SANC and practicing.
• 3+ years of experience in the community or emergency (casualty)/urgent care setting as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and are fully computer literate.
• Valid Basic Life Support certification.
• Registered with SANC or HPCSA.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Own transport to use to drive from patient to patient.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Matric (minimum C symbol pass advantageous)

Advantageous:

• At least 6 months of working experience in a call centre environment within the financial services / insurance industry
• At least 6 months of working experience in an inbound call centre environment within the Life Insurance industry
• At least 6 months of working experience in an admin related role.
• Certificate in Call Centre operations

• Relevant Master’s degree (Clinical/ Commercial)
• Managed Care Experience
• 1-2 years Leadership experience
• Knowledge of Discovery Health products

• Strong Matric results, with Higher Grade Mathematics
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science (post-graduate qualifications being advantageous)
• Close to (1 to 2 exams away) or recently academically qualified as a fellow actuary
• 2 years’ worth relevant work experience with a proven record of innovation, delivery and performance
• Advanced experience in data handling, actuarial modelling and lateral problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.

• Relevant industry certification(s).
